ABSTRACT

A lot of muslims came under the spell of western thoughts, scholarship and civilization when the muslim power is replaced by western Power. Even, they denied the centuries old and established principles of Islam which they found apparently in clash with the Western thoughts. In this way, they ignored Muslim thoughts and civilization. Scared by the so called Western development they changed the established Islamic tradition to make their master happy. They came to be known as ‘Modernists’.

The most prominent from the Subcontinent are Sir Syed Ahmad Khan (1817-1898) This research article dissertation under the title: واقعہ  معراج   النبی ﷺ کے بارےمیں  سرسید احمد خان اور جمہوراہل سنت کے نقطہ نظر کا جائزہ follows and investigates the literature of the said well known scholars. For this purpose, the scholar has critically studied the texts of the books written by Sir Syed Ahmad Khan: Maqala’at e Sir Sayyed and Khutbat e Ahmadiyyah in answer to Sir William’s The Life of Muhammad. Also,. These books have served as primary sources or texts which carry the basic thoughts and views of the writer about Hadith. Many other books, articles and papers, both online and offline are used as secondary sources. This article is divided into many chapters safari miraj, haqeeati miraj,sir sayyed ahmad khan ki nizdek waqia miraj ki haqiat,waqia miraj ki mutalliq ahli sunnat ka maslak.The study concludes on the point that Sir Sayyed Ahmad khan is not a Denigrator (Munkir) of the Hadith.
