Abstract

Abstract:

This chapter discusses the essential components required for a da'i (caller to Islam), which include spiritual preparation, intellectual preparation, moral preparation, and psychological preparation. In spiritual preparation, faith is considered the fundamental pillar of a da'i, as it forms the foundation of their personality. A da'i must have a strong connection with Allah, a clear understanding of His reality, a deep awareness of His greatness, and steadfastness on His path.

Intellectual preparation entails equipping the da'i with sufficient knowledge to effectively fulfill the duty of dawah. This includes not only religious knowledge but also general cultural awareness and familiarity with modern technology. Moral preparation emphasizes the importance of adopting exemplary character traits, as good morals are the result of proper training, purification, and discipline, which should be reflected in the behavior of the da'i.

Psychological preparation is mentioned as a means to encourage the da'i towards righteous actions and to enhance the effectiveness of their dawah efforts. Finally, it is highlighted that the mission of dawah is the responsibility of the prophets, their followers, and the reformers of every era. The chapter concludes by outlining the qualities a da'i must possess to fulfill this noble mission.
